Auction 2018 FAQ
When: Saturday, April 28th 2018
Where: View House, Centennial
Q. What is the Auction?
A. The Auction is Southmoor Elementary’s largest annual fundraiser held in April. Many of the auction items are available for online bidding the week before the live auction event. This year's Live Auction will be Saturday April 28th at The view house in centennial. The Live Auction is an adult only event that includes bidding on teacher treats, classroom projects and live auction items. There will be food, a cash bar, entertainment and a chance to mingle with Southmoor parents, faculty, staff, and friends all while supporting Southmoor.
Q. Why is the auction so important?
A. Last year, the auction raised over $70,000! The proceeds helped to fund additional staffing of teachers and paraprofessionals as well as curriculum kits, an iPad cart, field trip support and a new fitness course.
Q. What does it cost to attend and what does my ticket cover?
A. Tickets are $50 per person. We are hoping to obtain event sponsorship from businesses and individuals to cover the cost of hosting the auction. This way, all proceeds from ticket sales will go directly back to support programs and needs at Southmoor.
Q. What are ways for parents to be involved in the auction?
A. The first way to help is to simply come and participate in the wonderful evening we have planned for you! If you cannot attend, there are other ways to be involved and help our fundraising efforts:
•Donate and/or solicit auction items (big and small)
•Obtain sponsorships from businesses or your family and friends
•Help with your classroom auction project
•Donate an “of the month” auction item (flower of the month, wine of the month,
and more! Sign-ups will be sent out via Sign-up Genius or contact one of the
co-chairs listed below.
•Set-up or Clean up after the event
Q. Who do I contact if I want to get involved?
