Q. What is the Auction?
A. The Auction is Southmoor Elementary’s largest annual fundraiser.
Many of the auction items are available for online bidding the week before the live auction event.
The Live Auction is an adult only event that includes bidding on teacher treats, classroom projects and live auction items. There will be food, drinks, entertainment and a chance to mingle with Southmoor parents, faculty, staff, and friends all while supporting Southmoor.
Q. What should I wear?
A. Whatever you want. It's not formal, but it's not casual. Wear your company's version of "business casual," or what you might wear on a date night out.
Q. Why is the auction so important?
A. Last year, the auction raised over $60,000! while this is great it is vital for us to raise even more, as Colorado is rated one of the lowest states for funding their public schools. We rely on the proceeds helped to fund and support our teachers, staff and students classroom experiences and field trips directly.
Q. What does it cost to attend and what does my ticket cover?
A. In the past, tickets are $50 per person. We are hoping to obtain event sponsorship from businesses and individuals to cover the cost of hosting the auction. This way, all proceeds from ticket sales will go directly back to support programs and needs at Southmoor.
Q. What are ways for parents to be involved in the auction?
A. There are many ways to help and participate in this important and fun event:
•Donate and/or solicit auction items (big and small)
•Obtain sponsorships from businesses or your family and friends
